ITHAKA - Archäologisches Museum von Vathy

Das Museum enthält Ausgrabungsfunde von Aetos aus der Zeit der Geometrie bis zur Römerzeit sowie eine bemerkenswerte Sammlung von Funden aus der Zeit der Geometrie.

Die wichtigsten Gegenstände der Ausstellung sind:

  • Ringförmige Vase. Es hat eckige Wände und ist mit schmalen Bändern an den Seiten des Rings, schraffierten Dreiecken am Hals und Paneelen mit Diagonalen am Griff verziert. Datiert bis zum Ende der späten geometrischen Periode.
  • Votivinschrift, die Göttinnen Athena und Hera erwähnt. Es wurde in der Höhle von Polis gefunden und stammt aus der späten archaischen Zeit.
